Wow BANGS

OK so i finally did it! I have been joking and saying I was going to do this for a long time!!! I want to be edgy and different... But u know the long blond just can't really allow me to do that. I was leaving for work yesterday and made up my mind I was whacking them... (this is why I don't leave any sharp tools at home. I get these ideas and act instant on them. I learned my lesson)

I walked into the living room and told Nick of these bang envisions. He said, "I don't think you should, because it will take forever to grow out and you might not like it anyway. I think you should go pin it up..."

I responded. "I know I just need a change. Something I have never seen on me before. I am to predictable."

He thought for a minute and said, "It's ultimately your choice, I am just trying to be the Devil's advocate."

I kissed him and said thank you. Then went and pinned my hair up.

I came to work still thinking of the bangs I had been dreaming of...
Before I left work, I began discussing the situation with the girls. They were all over it, "you should, you should, you SHOULD. It will always grow. I like to with side bangs..."
I went to town....
I pulled that pin out, and whipped out those new sharp scissors out...
Made the first cut and it was all over.
Although it took me about 3o min to cut silly bangs that on someone else would take me 3 min.
I WAS SCARED!

BUT I DID IT!

I like them I feel different.
Alot of people will think they look like a little kid... but then others who have an eye for style will know other wise...

WEDDING ALBUM FINALLY

We received our wedding album in the mail today!!! YIPEEE
It is unreal... Absolutely breath taking.
I told Nick if I died tomorrow, and he gets remarried please don't let her do anything to this album. You have to keep it! ;o)
I really love it.
I will cherish it forever!
It looks better than I could have ever imagined!!!!
We also got purse size mini books. They are the exact same as the 10x14 but just a 4x4.
They are adorable.

I have really thought about this a lot! I took a class in Krav Maga (isrealan self defense) It was halarious, but did make you think of how to react in a scarty sitiation instead of just freaking out!

Tv shows... My fav Biggest Loser. Sadly we are watching Bachelor and that silly one that comes on afterward.

Happy Birthday MOMMY!

Today is my Mom's birthday, I am having my family over for Dinner tonight.
Nick had to fly out to Tampa Bay this morning. It was kinda a last minute thing. He was going to rotisserie a great big pork tenderloin, but I can do it in the oven instead! I hope it is just as good.
I am so blessed to have the great mom that I have. I can't imagine any other person in my life. No one or anything could ever have her place. I am sure glad I have got to spend another year with her. I am looking forward to spending more time together next week. We are all going skiing in Park City! It will be a great time!

I have a beautiful woman I am lucky enough to call MY MOMMY! I love YOU!

Last night

Last night was lots of fun. A while back we had planned a get together. My parents, Nick and I, Our bishop and his wife Melissa, and His second counselor and his wife Karen. We couldn't get it all quite coordinated. Last night worked for everyone. We went to Manna Bread and Wine a restaurant we hadn't ever been before. IT was really amazing food. I had a pork tenderloin stuffed with elk and a chipolte cherry sauce. I loved it. Nick had a dish called Wild Hog German Schnitzel. I thought it sounded NASTY, But it actually turned out not that bad! The bread was great, and the salad was good. The best part was this coconut cake we had for dessert.... YUMMMYYY so moist! I loved it. the restaurant had a really great cozy atmosphere too.
The topic at dinner was every one's story of how they met!!! It took the whole two hours!!! Everyone had such a good story. Each couple's were all so different. All really sweet and special. It was funny. We laughed the whole night! I think we all had a great time.
When we got home I finally gave Nick his hot rock massage. He had to wait quite a while.. I hope it was well worth the wait. He seemed to like it!
This morning was crazy I was running late because I coun't find my keys, and my phone is messed up and not charging. I couldn't take it with me because it was almost dead. I made it to work on time though. Everyone at the salon is going to be crazy busy today.. That is a good thing though!!!!! HAPPY SATURDAY!!!

Thankful Thursday

Wow it's Thursday already.

I am so glad that Nick is home. All of his stuff went really great in Utah. He seems really excited, so I am happy for him.

We got to hang out yesterday with the dogs in the front yard not even on leashes. It was the most beautiful day! About 73 degrees no wind!!!! It was perfect. Then Nick made me dinner, and we watched The Biggest Loser I saved from night before. It's our favorite.

I did Holly's hair for her bridal pictures yesterday, and it turned out awesome. She is going to look breathtaking!!!! I can't wait to see how they turnout. She had lots of awesome creative places to go. I know they will be great!

Nick is starting church basketball tonight, and he recruited my 6'8, college athlete brother to play on our team!!! That should be lots of fun!!! He is pumped. First game is tonight!!!

I am thankful I have a middle finger left! I got my Hikari's back freshly sharpened a couple days ago. They are killing my finger.... They are sharper than they have ever been. I have cut some great hair, along with my finger. That is the good news. It's also been so dry that they don't heal fast because I can't put lotion on because it burns too bad. Band aid's don't stay on when you have your hands in a shampoo bowl all day! I hope for no more.

I can't wait to go to spin here in a bit. I look forward to it all week!

For really great news... Blurb is back up and running for Blogger now. That is where you get the book made of your blog. Everyone check it out www.blurb.com. I started working on my book last night. It is going to take forever!!!! It will be well worth it though.

I am also getting out wedding albums any day now. I seriously can't wait to see them!!!

Bad Night

SO i woke up thinking Maverick was sick... BAD sick Blood and all...
I rush to the vet first thing in the morning, and I am in the waiting room, and someone says, "Ouch, what happened to her leg?'"
I look down and vixen has the most horrific gash on the back of her front leg.
I am freaking out feeling like the worst mommy. I have no idea how it happened or when. SHe was never limping, whining, or even looking at it.
Needless to say, they have no idea what was up with Mav. Dr. Polk just told me to watch him, and make sure he is back to normal.
As for Miss, Vixen she had to have 4 stitches and antibiotic. Looks like she will be fine, and she will get them out at her next round of shots! It was so sad though. I could hardly function at work! I can't even post a picture b/c I feel embarrassed to show everyone how I let my doggie get hurt.

They are growing fasst!!!

The puppies are doing so good. They are really starting to mind and listen to the commands we give. We are just trying hard to be consistent and a stern. WE ARE THE PACK LEADER! We are trying all of the Dog Whisperer tips! It is amazing how well they respond!
They are really growing fast. I thought that just this week they got tons bigger. I think they weigh about 20 Lbs each.

Last night Nick had to fly to Utah for some business things. While he was packing yesterday he asked me if I was going to let the dog sleep with me in our bed... I told him I didn't know. We will see...

We watched a movie last night and they were being so good, I knew I was not going to be able to put them in the kennel. I told Nick I was going to have to try it...
I got ready for bed and they laid there and watched me until I came to bed. Within 5 seconds, they were settled snuggled up to me. They didn't move all night long. Normally we get them up by 6:30 or 7. At 7:20 they still hadn't moved. It was hard to get them up. I am thinking they liked sleeping with Mommy!!! It made it lots better than being alone when Nick's gone.

We have 2 more nights until Daddy kicks them out!!!

It is cold in Lubbock Texas

I went for a swim this morning and when I left an hour later soaking wet I was FREEZING to death. When I got in my car it said 18 degrees, and of course wind blowing as always here. It wasn't too much fun. The pool was nice and warm, so that made it well worth it! I have been enjoying a new spinning class thats awesome on Thursday mornings. Yesterday there was three girls from church in the class that was fun. The instructor reminds me of Jillian from The Biggest Loser. She is always yelling and screaming. I get a kick out of it, and it makes me work so hard! I love it. There are some serious cycling people in this class with the special shoes that clip in and all! I feel as a newbie!!! It is a great workout. Yesterday I also got to stay for power. Already pretty tight from my Yoga X from the day before, it was interesting. A great total body workout!!! The same teacher, so of course I pushed myself to the limit! So great week of workouts!!!
On the other hand my poor husband has a bum toe. He was up most of the night, and I was up off and on! I really hope that it gets better quickly. I know he is in a lot of pain!
