Nick and I love to travel....
But this time not together...
BOYS TRIP / Bachelor PARTY VACA!
He left sunday to go to New York to see Yankee Stadium for the last time. They are also flying to Boston to see a game there. He went with some guys that he played with in college. He doesn't get to see them all that often, so I know that he is having lots of fun!
Yesterday they went to the game, and it turned out to be a pretty exciting one! Then later last night they went to an amazing steakhouse. He said it was remarkable. Today, he is giving one of his friends the New York tour who hasn't ever been. He was awesome with directions and he acctually remembers where everything is. All the street names and numbers... Man he is good.
Well, speaking of that I just got off the phone with him, and he said he was pondering how we got to TIFFANY AND CO. That is all I have to say. Yea he is my man! Sorry GIRLS! ;o)
I hope he has a great time on the rest of his trip, but I can't wait for him to get home. I miss him alot!
I am so sorry.. Don't kid yourself.. I couldn't leave this pretty little one off!

What an amazing day. Nick and I felt so loved by many people. So many people, and everyone was so generous it made me emotional. My mom's best friend Paige, my late aunt's best friend Betty, and my brothers best friend's mom Diane, and one friend of mine Daphne, were the hostesses. Did you get all of that... ;o) The beutiful one in all green is my brother's girlfriend Edite. She was awesome at the shower taking down names and items that we got. She is from Latvia, and did an amazing job spelling what I quickly told her. Not to mention she was understanding despite my West Texas slang! She was very helpful. She had never been to a shower before, and you would have never known it. She is a keeper.
It's was great to see some people I haven't got a chance to see in a long time. It will be a day I will never forget. Then that night Nick and I had lots of fun putting away all of our new goodies! Thank you so much to everyone that was a part of this special event.

Yesterday was so much fun. The dress is perfect! I feel absolutley beautiful in it! We went and had lunch at an amazing place that Shirley, from Brides, recomended. It was truly incredible. We stayed at lunch for 2 1/2 hours. The place was, Macaroni Joe's! We tried fried green tomatoes for the first time, and they were acctually really good. Quite impressive atmosphere and great service. If you are ever near Amarillo, you must go! Then we went back to try on the dress one final time and everything was perfect. I cannot wait for Nick to see me in it!

August the 3rd was our shower in Utah. It was alot of fun! It was wonderful to see everyone all together. We had very yummy food, and a fun game Shally made. We guessed the famous brides by looking at their faces. Not their hair, just the face. It was actually a little harder than you might think. I do get to hear about alot of stars being in the business I am in. People always show me pictures of famous people's hair to tell me what they want. Consequently, I know lots of names and faces. We got extra points for knowing names of the boyfriends, husbands, or ex's of the mystery girl. I happen to know lots of them too. Okay, I'll admit I do watch a little e! at the gym. It never hurts to hear about what Britany is doing next! Right?
It was fun to open presents. A few people went together and got us a Professional Kitchen- Aid mixer, which was way cool! I am so excited about all of the awesome things I am going to be able to do with that! Everyone there said I had to have one for the secret family recipe Creme Rolls. Nick said, I should take some lactaid that day. He promises it will be worth it!
My mom got to fly there with me and go to the shower. I was very thankful for that. It was really fun for her to get to meet a lot of Nick's family that I had been telling her about for a long time. I am sure it really helps to put a face with a name. It was a really short trip for her, but I was very thankful she was willing to do it! A few people told me the next day how much we looked and acted alike. They said we could be twins. I said thank you. I hope to look half as good as she does when I am her age.
The morning of the shower we got to go to breakfast at The Pancake House, which by the way is AWESOME. Wendy, Nick's mom, and my mom, me, and Nick all had the best time. We got to talk about each of us as kids, and just got to spend quality time without many people around. It was really great.
Thank you to Annie, Wendy, and Corrie! It was very special!
Here are some pictures from our day...
