MEXICO COUNTDOWN!

Nick and I are going to Dreams Resort in Tulum, Mexico in about two weeks!!!! I am soo excited Mexico is my favorite place!!! So the two week crash diet to put the swimsuit on begins!!!! Well really it's the same diet just no Cheat days... I have to save those up for the vacation! I am really excited!!! Nick is the most fun person to be with anywhere but in Mexico it is really awesome... he doesn'r have his cell phone!!! NO distractions... Its just flat out the best time. We lay around and laugh all day... Oh and I beat him in swimming races! 15 days....

Daddy / Daughter Weekend!

I know this looks like a pretty normal swimming pool, but acctually it's not! We went camping in Balmorhea, Tx. A State Park that is very close to the Mexico border. It is known for it's freshwater spring fed pool. The pool is 30 ft deep and at the center of the pool is a spring where all the water fills the pool and fills a lake. They also have canals that run off the pool that irrigate everyones land. It was pretty neat. We scuba dove in the pool on sat. and sun. The water was really clear and there were lots of catfish and turtles. It was neat to feel the water come up out of the sand really. I got my first sunburn of the year. Then we slept in the trailer and blew around all night. We woke up on sunday and it was 50 degrees, raining, and the wind was blowing terribly still.... I wasn't excited one bit about getting wet. Niether was my Dad. But we ate some granola and started dancing around a little bit, and finally we were up to it! We made it. I was freezing cold and it seemed like forever. But we are both officially certified divers! Satuday was really fun and, we cooked out Sat. night and the weather was beautiful. We sat out on out bench and watched the sun go down in the desert. I was fun all around. It was really special time to spend with my Dad. He still treats me like I am his little princess and what girl wouldn't love that! I am still a little more excited about diving in the carribean waters with the love of my life in about 2 weeks. It will be awesome!

THE BEST WEEKEND!

Well I have taken a while to get this post up I have been a busy girl. Last weekend Nick and his Dad came into town! It was soo wonderful to get to spend so much time talking with and getting to know his dad better! Friday night I was baptized by Nick's dad. My Dad and Mom were there, which meant very much to me. It was so wonderful. About 70 people were there. I couldn't beleive it. I was so ready for April 18th, 2008 to come, and it did and it was so amazing. I can't even explain. My confirmation was on Sunday, because converts to the church they like to confirm in the sacrament meeting. My parents also came for that. It was very powerful... I cried all weekend! Some very happy tears. I will post some pics for those who didn't get to make it! We were thinking of you. Also a big thank you to everyone that prayed for me, thought about me, and also was an encouragement! I could feel it! I really appriciate it. well, I am to annouce that I am a SAINT! A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! It has been a good week. Also another thanks to Nick's Dad for taking the time to come down to beautiful LUBBOCK, TX and spend this great weekend with us!

Some BIG news!

Last weekend, my friend Holly, who also works at the salon with me got engaged! Joseph, her fiance, I have known for quite sometime too. He and his family are in the car business, so we go way back knowing them. They went to Ruidoso just for the weekend, and he POPPED the question. We have been ready for long time! We are a little family! He kept saying he was going to, and then wouldn't. We were glad he finally did! She was suprised and very excited. Of course she said yes! They are planning on a year from now tying the knot! Congrats you LOVE BIRDS!!!

PADI

Well it is going to be official! I will be a certified scuba diver soon!!! I finish up my clases tonight at the Tech aquatic center. I feel like I am a fish when I am at 12 deep water for five minutes. It is pretty cool! I cant wait to go diving in real water. I do my certification dive at the end of this month. If I don't drownD then I will be official. The first ocean dive will be when Nick and I go to Mexico in about a month! FUN STUFF! Not the getting ready for mexico diet... but the diving part! ;o)
