NEXT TRIP!

I leave Monday morning at 7 am. I am headed to OHIO. Avon Lake to be exsact. Nick and I are meeting there. His brother Brandon and wife Haley live there. I am quite excited to meet Brandon. He is the only family member that I haven't met. He sounds really neat too! Brandon and Haley are going on vacation next week. That means Nick and I get to hang out with their awesome kids Mitchell and Ali for the week! I think everyone is really excited for the visit. It will be great memories forever. I have lots to do before I leave though. Today at work is going to be NUTS! Then tonight is one of the girls birthdays from the salon. I have to make an appearance to the theme "Mustache Party". I'll post pictures of that later. Should be very interesting! Then come home and do some laundry and pack. Sunday is full Gym, Church, and picking up my Mom from the airport and having dinner with her, and hopefully getting to bed prettty early, since I'll be up at 4:30 the next morning!

The HINKLEY challenge!

Well so I dont know how to put a satus chart on my page. But I have been reading like a maniac! I haven't done any laundry, cleaned up anything, or cooked one meal since I got home from Utah. I have been reading ALOT, which has been wonderful! I have learned so much and have so encourage. The Holy Spirit is working one me OVERTIME! Which is always a good thing!
I am on page 228! Alma is awesome! I'll keep you posted... I might set the record for the fastest read!

THE ONE

HERE IS THE REQUESTED LOOK. AND MY SCISSORS ARE READY!!!

Well after MUCH waiting...... I now introduce to you........... My new ride!!!!! My dad told me on my birthday that he found my first choice color white. All loaded, except for the seat heaters. This is a must! Once you live with it, you just cant live without it. He told me he wouold just get them installed by the time I got home from Utah. He found an awesome deal on it at a BMW sale in Pheonix. Lucky to have a Dad with the connections!

As of yesterday, I am the OFFICIAL sole owner of this car. I am pretty excited! I love it! It drives amazing compared to my Yukon. VERY BLESSED!

MY BIRTHDAY AND VALENTINE's TRIP

On February 9th I left for Utah. That would be the day Nick and I would celebrate dating for one year now! The Best year of my life yet! I would say it was about perfect! I don't think that i ever stopped thinking about him for the last 5 years of my life at least! I still get butterflies in my tummy everytime I step off the plane, or am picking up from the airport. I have to thump myself often to make sure that I am not in a dream. I MEAN IT!

I would always think to myself when I was younger... Man, if i could just find someone like Nick. That would be perfect!

The only reason I thought he was not perfect, was that he turned me down back in day. I was a baby he said. I had decided I wanted him to be my husband. He would have laughed at me. I was 18 and we had never been on a date. Okay maybe one.. Burger King! I'll have to tell the story in full another time.

As I thought over the years about him, I wanted a twin Nick. The way he looked, acted, and most of all his sense of humor. I thought well I guess I will have to settle.... because no one is anything like him at all.

Now everyday and get excited. I have NICK. The real Nick Sorensen! YIPPPEEEE!

He makes me all around a better person. I am very thankful for him. This year has been very wonderful. I LOVE YOU NICK! THANK YOU

My birthday was really a lot of fun. It always falls on National Pancake Day. Someone always takes me to IHOP. This year they were giving away free pancakes! Nick got me up at six and took me to eat breakfast before he had to go to work. I was quite excited. It was yummy! They even give you an ice cream treat at 7am. I cant have it, but I made Nick eat a little while they sang me Happy Birthday!

I relaxed all day. I didn't do all that much at all besides picking up our ski stuff we rented and answered birthday calls! That is always fun! Then Nick took me to a nice place for dinner to have prime rib for the first time. Sounds silly I know, but i would always just got for a filet. It was good. I enjoyed it, and the company was unbeatable! Then we went home and ate cake. Nick gave me a trip to Mexico for my birthday! I can't hardly wait. Mexico is my favorite vacation spot! You can't beat it in my eyes. Very close to home... but still Paradise! Well close to me. Not him!

The next day my Parents and my Uncle came out. We stayed at The Lodges at Deer Valley. We skied at Park City one day, and then two days at Deer Valley. It was lots of fun. We went to some really great resturants and browsed main street in town. We had alot of just chill time too. We would just hang around talking and laughing about things. I always enjoy that. One night we got to go and have dinner with Nick's Dad, who I really enjoy. I was glad my parents got the opportunity to meet him. None of my family had ever been to Utah before. They said they can't wait to go back. We are already trying to plan a summer trip. You cannot beat Park City ANY time of year. I'm always up for it!

(By the way, that is Jeff Foxworthy. He was sitting next to us at lunch one day at Deer Valley, and couldn't resist! He was SUPER nice, and didn't seemed to0 bothered by my redneck-ness! Imagine that!)

Girls Night!

So the beginning of February on a saturday night, all of the girls from the salon got together for game night. They wanted to get beat of course, so they invited me! ;o) We all went to Lisa's this time. Her dad made some AMAZING wings! They put my chicken little smokies to absolute shame! It was this secret recipe that includes anchovies! Kinda sounds nasty, but I must say they were out of this world! We played Apples to Apples and Balderdash. The latter is my favorite because there is acctually skill involved! WE HAD LOTS OF FUN!

FEBRUARY CRAZINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My birthday and traveling has been a a crazy month. I am finally going to catch up! Make an honest effort i have a lot to blog! Stay tuned!

This was me today!

Today was just crazy. Somedays you want to just ask yourself, "What the heck am I doing this for?" Just everything going wrong. It started out great. I got up early. I ate breakfast talked to Nick and got ready. I went to Target to get some things, and found they had Cliff bars for 99 cents. Wow, that is great. I usually pay $1.59. I was quite ecstatic! I love to find a good deal. It went downhill from there. The salon has been a little nuts lately. Just seems like everyday something comes up. Just tough situations in business that you just have to deal with. I wish that I just made people beautiful all day, but that is'nt reality. I am not the best at handling those situations. I do not like confrontation, and really all the financial things overwhelm me at times. I let things get to me. I put so much pressure on myself and worry about them. Today was one of those. I was ready to leave! Now I need to go run it off! Tomorrow is a new day... It has to be better than today!
